Wow

Goodness it has been eons since I posted. So much has went on.... lets see? I have moved, I have adopted two more kitties, have a new job, started school again, and developed new hobbies and have new friends. My current "obsession" as my niece, Mandy, would say would be miniatures. She does the 1:12 scale and has gotten me involved in helping her with her dollhouse. So much imagination and crafting going on some days and others just blah. My new plan is to try to post my adventures with my cats, my hobbies, and school.... so hang in there and be ready for some adventures.

First day of my new life

As the saying goes Today is the First Day of your New Life!
Got up early, went to the store, found some great deals on chicken so got some to put in the freezer. Thank you Lord for your blessings.
Decided to start a new Bible study. As you can tell, it is hard to study because of two little kitties. I am determined though and so after they have had enough "Mom" time, I will continue. Goal is to start with the gospels again and reconnect with my Savior during his life on this earth.
Am really looking forward to today and the future whatever happens I know he will be right there with me.
Everyone have a great day and remember to look for his blessings.

Peace

For days now I have been drawn to the beach. Problem is I live in Indiana and no where near a beach. These pebbles remind me of the beach with the hues of blue on white. They look so serene, peaceful, and calm. Just how I feel sitting on the beach shore and looking out on the wide expanse of the water. A peace and calm just seem to permeate my soul. However, I know that I do not have to be at the beach for God's love and peace to fill my heart. He is able to provide more peace than I could ever imagine just where I am. As Philippians 4:7 states "And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

Steps

STEPS

The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Psalm 37:32

When all seems to be in an uproar and chaotic, we (especially I) need to remember that through it all God has his hand upon our lives and each step is directed by him. It may not be the way we want to go or where/how we feel we need to go, but his way is the best for each of us.
Recently, I was offered a job that seemed like a dream come true. I felt in my heart that I needed to switch jobs. I left one position to go to another one, then the job seemed to have set-backs and disappointments. My main concern and thoughts were about where I missed God's guidance. I had the peace and assurance that leaving one job for the other was what he wanted so what happened? Along the way there were numerous manifestations of his love and power, so why were things not working out? I have no answers to these questions. However, I do know that God has provided peace in the midst of the turmoil and regardless of the outcome he is directing my path. I am looking at it as
being "repositioned" and moved to be in alignment with his plans and his will. Am wondering what will happen next.

Family

Clyde and Cleo
These are my two furry friends. They are both friends and foes. When danger or perceived danger is around they are friends and stick together....and then there are the times they fight... Running through the house sounding like the end of the world is coming and this is their final fight.

Sounds like how family is, right? I can pick on you cause you are my family, but everyone else better not pick on you. We fight not only with those we love but we Fight for those we love!

Today

Today has been a good day. I did some cleaning and managed to get the bathroom, bedroom, dining room, and most of the kitchen done. I still need to mop the floor. I did the dishes and got most of the laundry done. I did manage to get some pool time in. This morning it was cool but this evening it was just right. The heat index was suppose to be around 110 today and I bet it reached it. Right now I have the ac off and the door open. There is a cool breeze coming in through the screen door. I do have a fan on too. It is comfortable.
the little neighbor girl popped in an out most of the afternoon. She is so adorable and sweet. I do just love it when she visits. It reminds me of when I was her age and used to go across the street to visit the lady that lived there. She never did seem to mind how many times I popped in to see her. It is always nice when someone takes time for us.
Miss Cleo found a new spot to hide but where she could watch from afar. She jumped on top of the fridge and then on up to the top of the cabinets. She found a spot where she could see what was going on but that no one could reach her and there she stayed. She watched and then she took a nap. There is a ledge on the top of the cabinets and she was positioned so you could just see her head with her eyes beaming down looking at everything. Once the neighbor girl left then she must have decided it was safe so down she came to be a pest. Love the antics of the cat.
Well, hope everyone had a great day. It will soon be time to call it a night. Just a few more days of vacation left and I am planning on enjoying every one of them. Take care and until next time.

Book Review

Today I am writing a book review for school. I really do not know what I am doing. I have not done a book report since high school and I really do not think they are wanting the same thing as I remember. The book is "Selling Sickness" by Ray Moynihan and Alan Cassels. It sure is putting a new light on the drug companies and their methods as far as changing public perception of diseases, creating new diseases, and marketing their medications. The book is very interesting, but I am not sure exactly how to incorporate the information into a review. I am hoping that what I am doing is going to be what the instructors are looking for in a book review.
I got up early to start working on it. The coffee is on and the first cup is almost down. Miss Cleo has woke up and is here with me trying to help. lol. As you can tell, she is sometimes more of a hinderance by blocking the computer screen or the keyboard than helping me write. lol. Still, she is a keeper.
It is cool this morning. I have the air off and the door open. The sounds of nature are coming in through the screen door along with a slight breeze. It is suppose to be hot today so I will probably be turning the air back on later in the day. Right now I am enjoying the sounds, the smells, and the feel of the outdoors.
As for Miss Cleo, she has a new spot that she loves. She has been using this basket for about 2 weeks or so now. Isn't she cute. When she lays down in it, her fur sticks out through the holes in the basket. It does not really look comfortable, but she must like it. lol.
Well, now back to my review. Wish me luck. Wishing everyone a great and glorious day.
